Barry H. Smith was born and raised in the Scarborough area of Toronto, obtained his Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto and his law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Windsor.

Mr. Smith is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. Mr. Smith is also a dedicated, community-minded individual, having been a member of the Rotary Club of North Scarborough for over 20 years, and having served as a Director and in 1994-95 as President of that organization. Mr. Smith also holds the distinctions of being both a Rotary International Benefactor and a Paul Harris Fellow.

In addition to his other many accomplishments, Mr. Smith is a published author, having penned the supernatural thriller entitled “Twilight Dynasty: Courting Evil”.
